SALA Exhibition - "A Sapling Grows in its own time" by Kirsten Johnston

Kirsten’s paintings tread the colourful line between realism and abstraction. They take their inspiration from the natural world and Kirsten is particularly known for her depiction of trees in their many shapes and situations and in her many experimental styles. She moves between applying paint

with such things as brushes, pallet knives, old credit cards, sticks, balsa wood and, of course, her hands.
